MacFarlane Fountain
Alexandra Park is home to the MacFarlane Fountain built by Walter MacFarlane at his Saracen Foundry. It is one of the world's largest cast iron fountains and was built for the Industrial Exhibition of 1901 at Kelvingrove Park and moved to Alexandra Park the following year. This photograph was taken just after the fountain was restored in August 2000 at a cost of £22000.
