Clydesdale Amateur Rowing Club
An invitation to visit Scotland's oldest rowing club in continuous existence based on the River Clyde is offered to all Dennistoun residents to introduce them to the sport.
Duncan McMillan, Vice Captain of the Clydesdale ARC said "What I ideally would wish would be a link between my club and the Dennistoun community. As a Dennistoun resident I have seen the playing fields remain pretty quiet throughout the year. We have over 6km of the river Clyde close at hand to bring our community into the sport of rowing, develop their teamwork abilities, improve fitness, increase strength and top up their tan.
"The cost of membership is surprisingly low, please visit our website to see full details. We also are keen to encourage not just the youth but adults from their 20's up to retirement ages to try rowing. We have a strong veteran membership base at the club with our oldest member being over 70 years old."
The Clydesdale ARC is also interested in forging links with local organisations. For further information check out their website.
