builder/damp specialist

I'm having an issue with dampness coming in through a brick wall and causing black mould growth. It's a cavity wall with minimal insulation, plaster-boarded on the inside. Do I need a damp specialist or a builder? Any recommendations please?

Are you in a tenement or a new build?

2nd floor flat in a newish build. Not a tenement.

what about your factors? The external of the building is shared but unfortunately the inside is your cost to fix.

with dampness your better to be safe than sorry, otherwise you could end up with wet rot throughout your building

Peter Cox surveyor booked for a free survey. Hopefully they'll be able to identify the problem and advise how to sort it. Thanks for recommendation.

Nice one getting a free surgery - I always assumed that these companies would charge.

Many thanks for the recommendation for Peter cox. Just had the free survey done and have been pleasantly surprised. No "major" issues and no costly repairs or remedies recommended. Totally honest and trustworthy surveyor and hopefully by following his advice, we can remedy the problem ourselves. Would highly recommend Peter Cox for any damp issues you are having. Thanks again.
