How old are your children? There is a summer club on at Whitehill School but I would think most of the places are taken as they give the forms out in schools.
East End Healthy Living Centre run a whole series of kids activities over the summer, have a look on their website.
RAPA in Garfield street is open monday to Saturday and has lots of different stuff to play on plus they have 'activity days'. 50p per day per child or you can buy a family membership for 6 months. Child has to be over 8 to go in without an adult.
Dennistoun library have a summer reading challenge for the children for the rainy days, if you go in and see them they can tell you when it is.
Alexandra Parade Park is lovely, no clubs but nice for a family picnic, as is the park at Glasgow Green.
Also the farm park at Tollcross Park (number 62 or 62 bus takes you to the gate) is great for the kids, depending on their age.
I'll try and think of some more stuff but I think that's about it locally. There are normally activities on in the museums etc through the summer. You might find that information on the Council Website.

Hope you find something he likes out of that lot. There is also Geronimo's for a wet day (along Duke Street next to Lidl) a soft play area although that can quickly become expensive if you go too often!
Swimming is free for under 5's but you can apply for a Kidz Card through the library which will get him into all the swimming baths in Glasgow for free. Also get a £1 all day kids ticket on the bus. The Time Capsule in coatbridge is free for kids during the school holidays and costs about £5 for an adult. You can catch the bus on the Gallowgate.
